The MdS is a 6 day / 151 mile (243km) endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco, normally taking place at the end of March / beginning of April.
This website provides more details about the MdS and, if you decide it is for you, the registration details for runners resident in the UK, Ireland, Israel and South Africa. The finish of the Marathon des Sables will be on Saturday 14 April at Merzouga, approximately 6 hours. drive from Ouarzazate (where the event is based). The elite competitors will start to cross the line from 11am, and the last should be back by around 3pm.

Who are "The Best of Morocco"?

In our first year, we had 6 Brits and it has grown from there. We now have the largest contingent of competitors with 264 entrants in 2010.
